Brave

Drew and I took the girls to see the new Disney movie Brave.  They were so excited to see it, so we fought the crowds and went on opening weekend.   The movie is really cute and we totally enjoyed it, however, if you have children that scare easily maybe wait until the are a wee bit older due to a crazy scary bear and a creepy witch.  Other than that the movie has no bad language and is appropriate, but maybe a little on the violent side.   Merida is the main character and you will fall in love with her and her awesome red curls, and her magical Scottish accent.  All Cambry wants now is a bow and arrow.  I have to admit.....Me too.

Father's Day

Father's Day was a relaxing day spent by the pool at my parents house.  We hung out, swam, ate and played with the girls.   Lots of fun!

The girls are working on a synchronized jump.

My dad was lucky it was Father's Day so that none of us could yell at him for the giant splash that came from this canon ball.

Elle was multitasking by squirting the dogs and mooning us all at the same time.

Ballet from May

The girls finished their dance class in May with a cute little recital.  But don't worry, they began a new class this June, and one of these classes I will try to remember my camera! For now here are the pictures from the last day of May ballet.

Vegas Baby

Still catching up from our crazy May I cannot leave out that we went to Las Vegas!  One of our friends Chris Watson is a bit of an overachiever.   He pushes himself mentally and physically like know one else we know.  He does marathons, triathlons, has three young kids, works a crazy police job, and in his spare time recently completed his masters degree in Criminal Justice.  How is it possible that he do so much, you ask?  Two words.  Jihae. Watson.  His amazing wife may be even crazier than he to support all of the things her hubby wants to do.  AND she does it with a servants heart an amazing attitude.  I try to take notes every time I am around her.  So what better way to celebrate a masters degree? Vegas, baby.  We left the kids with their grandma's (a HUGE thank you to those who watched our kiddo's) and took off on Friday afternoon.  It was an amazing trip from the peaceful car ride, to the awesome shopping with Jihae, the $40 I won gambling, the much much more $$$ that Drew and Chris lost gambling, to the great food and friends.  The best part was for two whole days no one asked me to cut up their food, carry them, wipe their bottom (luckily, that would have been awkward), or clean up after them.

Catching up from May

It may seem that I fell off of the blogging earth for a while, and I did.  I didn't really write any or read any blogs for quite some time.  That means we have some catching up to do!  This was Mother's Day.  It was a wonderful day filled with family, fun, and Francesca's (my favorite store to which I received a gift card from Drew!)  We had a tasty dinner that night with my family at On The Border, and then hung out and played games.  I couldn't have asked for more!
