my flower children

My BFF from Kansas, Shelley Westerman, was so thoughtful and sent Colbie the sweetest gift just for being born! Shelley has amazing taste and when she gives a gift before you even open it you know it's going to be good. I took some pictures of Colbie sporting the sassy flower beanie that crafty Shelley made, and the little embroidered shorts that she sent as well. I think these are so cute and just thought I would share them with you.

Christmas!

Well Christmas was a hit this year as always. Colbie seemed to have a great day for her first Christmas and I'm pretty sure she realized the true meaning by the end of the day. Cambry had fun getting new toys, but wasn't to sure about unwrapping them. They were both totally spoiled by both sides of the family getting everything their little hearts desired and more. We had a great time at my parents house hanging out and playing games until after midnight. I love my family and all of the weird answers they come up with during game time.

The grandpa visit

Drew's dad John and his grandpa C.B. came all the way from Oklahoma to visit us last weekend. C.B. hadn't met Colbie, but she sure loved him at first glance. He was holding her and she was smiling at him so much. John got to spend a lot of time playing with Cambry and holding Colbie as well. He brought Cambry a stick horse that makes noise. She loves to give it kisses and listen to it, but she wont ride it yet. It's sure fun to watch Drew ride it around as he shows her how to do it though! I'm sure very soon she will get brave enough to hop on.

Family Visit

Last weekend we had my family from Kansas in town and we had a blast. I really appreciate having such a fun family that will sit around and laugh together and have so much fun just hanging out. We spent most the time over at my parents house. If you haven't ever been invited over for dinner by my mom, you should really try to get that invite. She is a killer cook and there isn't a better hostess on the planet. I'm surprised any of us ever go home. I get stressed out if I am making dinner for anyone except for Drew (he loves me regardless of my lack of cooking skills), but my mom cooked for 11 people all weekend! We also played games, and hung out with the kids. Thank you guys for coming all the way out to meet our babies and be a part of their lives. I love you!

My wonderful Aunt Angie and sweet cousin Brandon with the girls.

I promise I have a good lookin family, it just might be hard to tell from this picture. My cousin Dustin is truly a stud but he also has a goofy side that impares him from smiling normally for a picture. My grandpa suffers from narcolepsy and falls asleep every where we go... Not really. He just blinked.

This pic was from when I was babysitting Elle yesterday, and the cousins were happiest sitting next to each other. I did have to seperate them after Elle kept whacking Colbie in the face repeatedly. I spanked her though. :)

Santa's little helpers

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!
